Super materials for extreme conditions

On Demand (IF 2020)
Talk | Materials, Science, Technology
The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) Materials Research Facility in Oxfordshire is a leading centre for studying the effects of extreme conditions. Fusion and fission reactors experience ultracold superconducting magnets and high-intensity radiation, so new materials are needed to withstand these harsh environments. Hear first-hand from materials scientists about the challenges they face in researching materials exposed to some of the most extreme conditions in existence.
