Something from nothing
and then all the rest.
Growing, colliding
contradictions since
the bang – or the bounce –
but that’s why it’s best.
Swathes of “barely there”
expanding into
“definitely not”.
Perhaps. A woolly-
edged vacuum which
light can travel through.
Because space is like
language: duality;
miscomprehension;
a funny sort of
growth. You define it.
It changes. Fades. Hides.
The beauty you see
is gone; burned its course.
The news won’t reach you:
the speed of light will
get lost in the post.
One more not to know.
The list itself grows
despite infinite
expansion and a
crippling handicap,
two places at once?
or absence complete?
The universe is…
Well, who understands?
There is so much
to know. And so much
that we don’t. There was
Something from nothing.
