My Body

By Maryam, age 5

My brain is squirty, it fizzles and giggles when I try new things.

My eyes are crinkly and winky, when they see my best friend.

Do they glow?

How do I see?

My triangle nose is squishy and pointy.

It has two, dark tunnels,

It makes salty bogeys.

My thin, swirly ears, don’t like sounds that I fear.

My heart tugs, if I am sad.

It hugs,  when I am happy.

It touches the sky.
