UKAEA Open Day

UKAEA’s Open Day offers a rare opportunity to see fusion energy research up close. After an introductory talk covering the basics of fusion, you will tour the Joint European Torus (JET) — the world’s largest fusion experiment and current world record holder — and the Remote Applications in Challenging Environments (RACE) facility. Tours are led by engineers, scientists and technicians working on the experiments, so you are guaranteed a genuine insight into life in fusion research. Bring your questions and curiosity.

Closed-toe shoes required; hard hats provided.

Access to the Culham site is subject to UKAEA security protocols — all visitors must present valid photo ID on arrival to receive a visitor pass.
