Live Lab Family Day
Science Oxford Centre, off Quarry Road, Oxford, OX3 8SB
Join guest researchers from the UK Health Security Agency in the Live Lab along with the Science Oxford Centre’s regular Family Day activities. Indoors, discover and have fun experimenting with the air table, giant magnetic ball run and curious camera in the Exploration Zone. Outdoors, the Water Lab and 15 acres of woodland and ponds give space to unleash your inner explorer.
Sessions available 10am – 12pm, 12.30 – 2.30pm and 3 – 5pm

Emira’s Kitchen café is open 10am-4pm, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and home-made rolls. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments and picnics to eat at the indoor or outdoor lunch tables.
Activities include:
Two-hour timeslot in the Exploration Zone, including a Live Lab activity on ‘Hidden environmental hazards’ (see below for details). Tickets also give access to the woodland, outdoor areas and Water Lab from 10am–5pm (change of clothes recommended). 10am–5pm (change of clothes recommended).

What environmental hazards could be inside your home? How can you protect yourself and your loved ones? Have fun learning about a range of risks and explore what you can do to look after your health, with a storytime corner on environment and health.
