Live Lab Family Day

Learn about red cabbage chemistry in the Live Lab along with the Science Oxford Centre’s regular Family Day activities. Indoors, discover and have fun experimenting with the air table, giant magnetic ball run and curious camera in the Exploration Zone and discover the wonders of the universe in an amazing planetarium show. Outdoors, the Water Lab and 15 acres of woodland and ponds give space to unleash your inner explorer.
Sessions available 10am – 12pm, 12.30 – 2.30pm and 3 – 5pm

Emira’s Kitchen café is open 10am-4pm, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and home-made rolls. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments and picnics to eat at the indoor or outdoor lunch tables.
Activities include:
Two-hour timeslot in the Exploration Zone, including a Live Lab activity on ‘Red cabbage chemistry’ (see below for details) plus planetarium shows available throughout the day (timings and sign up via the check-in desk). Tickets also give access to the woodland, outdoor areas and Water Lab from 10am–5pm (change of clothes recommended).
