Jurassic brain-teasers

Palaeontology used to be considered dry and dusty, however, recent advances in computer technology have transformed the way fossils can be studied. Classic palaeontological research, now integrated with virtual reality, digital reconstruction and computer simulations, holds vast potential for being able to reconstruct fossil organisms and ecosystems including dinosaur brains. Dr Stephan Lautenschlager, the 2018-19 Palaeontological Association exceptional lecturer, illustrates how these new techniques are illuminating our planet’s prehistory.
