In this workshop series, you’ll learn how to use computer coding and sensors in a circuit to control LEDs and motors using Arduinos and Tinkercad, combining art and engineering. Workshop 2 develops the Arduino coded art projects, making your own physical circuits to activate a sequence of LEDs

For the coding, you will need and computer with a USB port and:

  • Tinkercad Software and Logins (Installation and Set up in Workshop 1)
  • Arduino, USB connecting wire and Software (Installation and Set up in Workshop 1)
  • Breadboard
  • Jumper Wires
  • Wrapping Wire approx. 90cm
  • LEDs (Colours optional)
  • Resistors
  • Buttons
  • 9v Battery and Snap Connector or  USB rechargeable power pack
  • LDR Photoresistor
  • Servo Motor

Also, you will need:

  • Pens/Pencils
  • Paper
  • Fairy Lights
  • Arts & Crafts Materials of Your Choice – Tissue paper, Scissors, Glue, Ribbon, String, Cardboard, etc.
